Re: Tray 2 incorrectly reporting A4 paper when loaded with legal

Hi MrAlexFranco,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the solution for adding paper to the tray and make sure you are getting the paper guides right up against the edge of the paper.  Also make sure you have the latest firmware loaded for your machine. If this does not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

Tray 2 incorrectly reporting A4 paper when loaded with legal

Product Name: Phaser 6600
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

Hello all,

This Xerox Phaser 6600N has tray 1 loaded with letter paper and tray 2 is loaded with legal paper. The printer reports having A4 paper in tray 2. In the printers web admin portal > general settings > tray settings it gives the option to set the paper in each tray manually. On tray 1, I select letter, easy enough, tray 2 only gives the options "Auto Detect" or "New Custom Size." Auto Detect isn't working, so I set a new custom size to Y: 14.0 inches and X: 8.5 inches. It still only reports having A4.

Every time I try to print a legal sized document (typically a PDF), and I explicitly tell it to use legal paper from tray 2, it comes up "Load tray 2 legal plain." The web address status page reports A4 and under control panel > devices and printers > printer properties it lists the "Paper Available" as "Letter (8.5 x 11"), Plain" and "A4 (210 x 297 mm), Plain."

Any assistance in getting the printer to recognize the correct paper it's loaded with would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance
