Okay, so I called the number. After some trouble communicating with the second-level analyst, the issue's been clarified: it's not possible to type 6 or 7 from the number row of the main keyboard area, but it is possible to do so using the numpad.
I'll get a call back next Friday. Hopefully, this will get passed on to the VersaLink firmware team to be fixed in a future SPAR.
What I'm curious about is whether others are able to reproduce this bug...
Hello there,
With issues like this we need you to call Support to Report the issue, I would recommend requesting to speak to the 2nd Level Analyst to report it. I will follow up on our end to let them know this issue is happening. Support: 1-800-821-2797
I've run into a bug in the firmware on my Xerox VersaLink C405. When using a USB keyboard, I cannot enter the numerals 6 or 7. This does not affect input on the touchscreen itself, nor does it affect keyboard input in the Remote Control Panel. I get the same issue with multiple keyboards, and the keyboards work properly on a computer. USB flash drives function as expected.
The issue persists after updating to the latest SPAR, 68.69.51 (PL7-R9). I'd suppose this affects all VersaLink models, as well as the WorkCentre 6515 (which AIUI uses the VersaLink platform). Can somebody look into this?
