The DST issue is a Fiery thing, has happened for many years, but current drivers and Fiery systems are no longer affected, which means either your Fiery isn't fully patched or your driver wasn't new.(Or both)

It can be postponed using exactly the same driver by simply remove and reinstall using all the same old files.

LPR byte counting will absolutely ruin a print queue, I'm not going to delve into it, but I have never once in my 15 years of working with printer software/networking found a benefit of it.

SNMP is fine, but if you enable it on the port, it is also used on the other tab to update the Fiery features, and due to it be using in two places for the same thing at different times, it often will fault the driver (False Printer Offline messages in Windows). Since the port doesn't need it, that is the one you need to disable.

As for Enable advanced printing features, it isn't needed, and it causes drastic delays in some Apps, any MS Office that uses ribbon menu's will go very slow if it is enabled. Apparently it depends on the print manufacturer whether it is really doing anything, for Xerox printers, nothing of note, same for EFI/FFPS/Creo RIPS. You won't notice it being disabled in a bad way, it doesn't for instance allow you to make a Booklet on a printer, at most it changes where the spooling of the print job occurs. In short, you will have absolutely no bad effect from the changes, you will only get better results, and if you stand by those settings always with your Xerox/EFI print drivers, you will have less troubleshooting and down time in the future.

Your suggestions improved the situation which also caused programs to hang for at least 20 seconds before opening print dialog. What also helped drastically was to delete any network\shared printer installed on windows and install them again using, instead of Standard TCP/IP Port, Local Port writing as port name: \\ip_address\print_queue_name

2 more questions: how could be DST involved in this issue? What disabling "Enable advanced printing feature" could affect?

The fix for your issue, especially if it happened when DST took effect, is to uninstall the driver and reinstall it with a new port (Same driver, new port)

And match what I circle exactly in yours.

Right-click the printer and go to Printer Properties and do/match this

OK > Apply > OK and the issue (I'm guessing 30-45 seconds for the driver to open) should be gone (2-5 seconds now). To eliminate it would involve un-checking this option, which is fairly detrimental (The driver can't account for changes to the IOT and or Fiery if you do)

Uninstall the new driver and then install the old one, if you are looking to source an old one, good luck to you, new ones come out to fix things, they don't archive broken/old ones for you

1.0 isn't a driver version, it is a product version. It applies to the model.

See here is my C75 Fiery 1.0

All current EFI drivers are Driver Version 5, but the real signifier of the version is listed as Driver Job Properties Version.

They are both seen on the About tab

If you happen to be anywhere near current, clicking the Check for driver update option will launch the update tool, which will look like this

If yours is older and has no update feature, you can go to EFI.com and get the latest driver there, but be very certain you get the right one.

Or, put the IP of the Fiery in your web browser address bar to load Webtools, select Configure > Check for product Updates

Which will give you a page like this

Select the drivers link if needed, the list may be massive, so find the newest dated driver for the OS you use (Mac vs Windows)

Hi, 

is there an updated driver version of EX 770 Color EX Server?

Actually I have just version 1.0 which gives me some problem, especially regarding some slowness opening print dialog windows and wonder if an updated or different version of this driver was released.
