Re: Updating firmware on Mac

Thank you Joe, will wait to hear back.

I actually connected the printer to the router and

while it works better than over wireless, it still didn't find

the printer for the firmware.  Good to know it is not me

who is doing something wrong :)

Re: Updating firmware on Mac

Everything for the Windows and Mac version appear to be broken, I sent it up to Engineering who is looking into it. Just keep watch for an updated file to Xerox.com.

Re: Updating firmware on Mac

I will try connect again, however, it does not find the printer via the wireless network, to do the firmware update, however I can print to it.

Re: Updating firmware on Mac

Mac app should find the printer on the LAN and do the update. The fact it isn't implies there is a network issue between Mac and printer.

I'm having the firmware looked into for the bin file or a workaround. Typically you just open the exe file with Winzip/Winrar/7zip, but ther estill appears to be no Bim file in it anyway.

Re: Updating firmware on Mac

Joe,

Thanks for responding....

Few questions, what is the mac app for?

Anyways, which version of windows should I use?   When I tried the Windows 10 firmware, it only had an exe file not a zip file to download.

Thanks.

Re: Updating firmware on Mac

You already have the correct instructions..

The file you need is within the Windows download, not the Mac one.

Updating firmware on Mac

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I have a Phaser 6022, and noticed there is a new driver.

I am using Mac with OS Sierra.

I have downloaded the file, extract it and try to run the 'app'.

The app does not find the printer (running it on a network).

I read the installation pdf , and it appears to be out of date,

as it tells me to take the Windows file (prn) and install via terminal.

Why would i have to do this if there is a Mac update file?

Hope someone can help, or can direct me to the correct instructions.Screen Shot 2017-01-07 at 3.05.36 PM.png

This is what is in the dmg file
