Re: WC 7525 entering noncustomer mode

As an update, I called a technician who says the issue was a battery of sorts.  Not sure of the specifics, but it was a small one next to the hard drive.

It would have to be some sort of corruption, so the first step is to run an image over write.

as admin go to Machine Status > Tools > Security Settings > Image Overwrite Security > Overwrite Mode > Standard Overwrite mode > Overwrite Now

If that does not fix it, the next step is to do an  Altboot which will in fact wipe the entire device, this should be done by a technician though, and if that fails the issue is hardware, not software, so in that case you are looking at a hard drive replacement.

WC 7525 entering noncustomer mode

Jump to solution
Product Name: Other - specify product in post

A WC 7525 I have entered noncustomer mode twice last Friday.  It looks like it reverts to factory default, based on it having the time zone as somewhere in Europe and the paper default set as A4.

I was able to get it back the first time by going into Service Diagnostics and forcing it to enter the Install Wizard, but I'd rather not have to do that multiple times a day.

Any info on why it would be reverting back to non-customer mode, and how I can prevent it from doing so?
