WC4118 and Windows 7 64 Bit

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I need some help installing the TWAIN scan driver for the WC4118.  First off, Xerox doesn't really have a scan driver for the WC4118 with Windows 7 64 Bit, however I have been told by 2 Xerox sources to try the Windows Vista 64 Bit scan driver.  My problem is the computer/laptop won't look for the scan driver when I plug in the USB cord coming from the WC4118.  I already have the global print driver installed so I am not sure if that registers and then doesn't care about the scan driver.  No wizard or new hardware prompt comes up at all and I can't seem to get the scan driver installed.  I have instructions for Windows XP install TWAIN scan driver with USB connection but that doesn't seem to be working for Windows 7.  I am starting to think I should remove the printer and all drivers (not sure where the drivers got saved), then see if I can nstall the scan driver first.  Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
