Re: WC7855 TONER LEVEL READING ERROR

Unfortunately that was a bad idea unless you are a tech. Why did you do an nvm reset? When you say nvm reset what do you actually mean? A tech will have to come in and determine if the problem is a mechanical or electrical/ software issue. Sometimes a bound up toner cartridge can cause an incorrect toner percent reading. Shake it up well and put it back in or try a new toner cartridge.

Re: WC7855 TONER LEVEL READING ERROR

also upgrade the firmware of your 78xx

there was an older firmware where toners stayed on 0%

after upgrading, the issue was gone

Re: WC7855 TONER LEVEL READING ERROR

You can hope that simply swapping them between the 2 devices will force them to reinitialize and fix the NVM settings, failing that you would need to do an Altboot, no data backup on both, and failing that you would need a certified tech to fix the values that got reset.

We will not be posting any NVM data on this forum, Diagnostic mode is for trained Xerox technicians only

WC7855 TONER LEVEL READING ERROR

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hello,

Please I need someone to help with the subject above. I did NVM reset on the machine and discovered that the toner levels changed In one of the machines I carried out the NVM reset, the Toners levels decreased to 0% and on the other one the levels went up to 100%. Does any have the slight idea of what has happened?
