Re: What is the Full WIdth Array for?

I've never used it. And since I don't actually have one, I haven't dug too deep.

The video is just a generic over view, people would lose interest fast if they chose to show ACQS running on a Freeflow when the user has a Fiery and vice-versa.

And since there are relatively (when compared to lower printer models) few devices that have an FWA or Inline Spectrophotometer, there is not much out there that is straight forward. It's all pretty generic:

There are 2 good in depth youtube videos, both are Swedish.

Re: What is the Full WIdth Array for?

all right, i can hit an alignment in well under 10 sheets, and i can calibrate with one.  The density control is nice, as i use that once a month to keep it tight, but what is this "automated destination profile creation"  ???  She didn't explain that at all.  Also does that FWA auto correct the paper length on the fly when duplexing?  I know some newer printers do.  Is there anything that the FWA can do while a job is running?

The FWA is capable of reading the whole page for variation, where an Spectrometer (external or internal) cannot.

What is the Full WIdth Array for?

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I have a Xerox 1000i and have been told very little about the FWA and what it is for.  As i see it, it is just a spectrometer like the ES-2000.  Yet i must calibrate it.  What can i do with it other than spending a dozen sheets or so calibrating the machine?
