What ntp server should I use?

I'm receiving errror messages: "Network Time Protocol (NTP) communication error; machine time may be inaccurate."

I have selected "Automatic using NTP" under Date and Time Setup.

NET Server Settings has Host Name selected with host name "us.pool.ntp.org" on port 123.

I'm using DHCP and receive the correct IP information, subnet, gateway, DNS, etc.

Does all this sound correct?  Any suggestions to resolve the error message?

Re: What ntp server should I use?

should be ok, but maybe the error was from the previous try

i think the interval is 1 day, so maybe the errow will be gone the next day

also make sure that the port 123 is opened in your firewall, so the machine can access it offcourse

or you can try an internat NTP from your local server ?

Re: What ntp server should I use?

time.nist.gov should work too.

Assuming no port blockage, can't hurt to add 8.8.8.8 as a DNS.
