That makes sense. Thank you for the quick response!
What you see on the public website is the current general release. What I provided was the release notes for what is technically the latest available software release. That release is typically referred to within Xerox as a SPAR. Those releases have started being posted on the public site, as of about a month ago, for some models and they are listed as Service Pack software versions rather than SPAR's when they are there. The product enhancements document (release notes) for the general release that you mentioned can be found at the link below. I got the document link from the release notes that are for Xerox internal use only. It really should be easily obtained on the website though. The support site has gone through a redesign recently and it was probably an oversight.
VersaLink Product Enhancements Document General Release PL6-R0
Compare the product enhancements between the general release and the latest or SPAR version and see if there's a reason to use the absolute latest version or stick with the current general release.
Thanks, I hadn't seen that. But now I'm confused... when browsing the downloads page, I only see firmware version 65.51.1, released Aug 4th 2020.
However the document you linked shows versions up to xx.64.51 released Sep 17th, 2020. Is that version just not yet released, but the notes are made available ahead of time?
Hi KevinZ,
The document that you are looking for can be downloaded at the link below.
Before updating the firmware on my WorkCentre 6515, I wanted to read what has changed between the version I have and the latest version. So far I haven't found any release notes. Can someone point me to them?
