The print cartridges are somehow unaligned, so that every page I print is off-center (top/bottom, but also slightly left/right).
I post in this forum - I get one response with a suggestion that doesn't work for me, I respond with more info, there is zero follow-up.
I try to use MySupport - I can't sign up because I only have a serial number, no invoice/customer/order number because I'm a home user and I bought the machine through Amazon.
I call the support line - the woman at the other end doesn't have any idea what could be wrong, notes that my machine isn't registered, and says she's sending my info to people who will come out and look at my printer. There has been zero follow-up.
I google "register my Xerox printer" - I find a site called xerox-portal.force.com, it looks legit and doesn't ask for info it could phish me with, I think, so I put my stuff in and ... poof. After it appears to register me, it leaves me at the registration form. Did this do anything? Is there anywhere I can now get assistance?
What am I supposed to do? I am about five minutes from going Office Space on this thing. I no longer have my shipping materials, so I can't even try to return it to Amazon - plus, I sunk money into a new black cartridge. I would really rather fix this or have my machine replaced, but I can't get any help.
The person at the support centre offered some basic fixes that didn't help and offered to have people contact me to come in person and look at the printer at my home, and I never heard back from these people she supposedly sent my information to.
As for the alignment issue please ;look at this online support article for skewed and crooked prints.Yes, that's really just telling me to take the paper out and try again. I've taken the paper out lots of times, and it's just ordinary printer paper.
Also please take a look at the adjustments you can make to the location of the print area. You can find that information in the User Guide in the image section starting on page 79. Best fit is the default, if yours is set for something else try the default, Also make sure you have programmed the size and type of paper correctly. That is the exact same advice you gave me previously, which I was just complaining about. I told you that it didn't help or relate to my problem (it's text pages, not images) and there was no response. What is the point of this forum if there is no actual back-and-forth between users and support staff?
Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance. As stated in my post above, I did this. The person at the support centre offered some basic fixes that didn't help and offered to have people contact me to come in person and look at the printer at my home, and I never heard back from these people she supposedly sent my information to. How am I supposed to get support if nobody IN support knows anything except "take the paper out and put it back in" and "turn the printer off and then on again"?
Hi cpercoco,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. There is support available for home printers like your Xerox C230 Color Printer. Register at this site. Make sure you enter all the information in the fields marked with the red asterisk. All you need is the purchase date and the address where it was purchased which in your case would be Amazon.com 410 Terry Ave N, Seattle 98109, WA.
