There would be no point of a Sys admin account if you could simply reset it. To reset the device you need to either get into a Diagnostic mode, or wipe the device with a Xerox tool, neither of which are publicly available.
Any information posted here that showed a way to bypass an admin account would need to be pulled immediately.
Hello,
We got an used Xerox Wide Format 6604 that we're trying to setup, but the previous owner sets an admin password that prevent us any changes.
We don't have any way to reach their technician that set that password so we're looking for a way to reset it. I used to do that on other printers without any problem, but I didn't find a way to do it on this device.
I looked in the online documentation, the only thing I've found so far is to change a known admin password.
So, any way to reset the password or do a factory reset on this device?
Thanks
