After being away for a month, I ran Windows update, which had a lot to install. On restart, it does not find user profiles. I connect (somehow) to what looks almost like a new machine: installed apps are present and run, and data files exist on my data drive, but all personalization seems nuked. What's going on? Best recovery option? Been a while since a backup.
