Re: WorkCentre 6515 sleep mode power consumption

Hi,

many thanks for your hint. I tried it but unfortunally it didn't change anything. I think the use is only prohibited and the port is still activated in hardware - but it shouldn't be nearly 4W.

The printer will be located in a storage room, so it will stay pretty cool.

Best regards

Re: WorkCentre 6515 sleep mode power consumption

Hi,

the only thing i can think about here is the USB port even if there is nothing pluggged in, it will always consume some power while waiting for a device to be plugged in

this is how to Enable or Disable the USB Port on the Front of the Printer Using the Embedded Web Server

Just Note :

if you care that much about the power consumtion make sure your device will stay cool that in general any device generates heat in work spaces which then requires more power for cooling.

WorkCentre 6515 sleep mode power consumption

Product Name: WorkCentre 6515
Operating System: Not Applicable

Hi,

I've got a new WorkCentre 6515DN where I have a little problem with the sleep oder energy saving mode power consumtion: it's around 4 times of your stated one. I measure around 5.2W with a plugged ethernet cable and 4.8W when I disconnect the ethernet cable. It's to far away from your stated 1.2W - The energy prices here in Germany are quite high so this matters.

There is no Wifi module installed. I installed yesterday the newest firmware from your website (65.31.81).

What can be the reasons for this? It is possible that I have configured something wrong?

By the way: why does this printer didn't get features like the "One-Touch Featuer enhancement"? Is there a possibility that it will be added in the feature?

Many thanks and best regards
