Hi,

You will need a tech to reset admin password. Otherwise you can upgrade firmware with a USB thumb drive. Make a folder named dwld and put the bin. firmware on it.Insert the USB thumb in the port behind the machine like in picture below. Power down the machine then press the Energy saver switch while powering up the machine. Keep pressed the energy button until download mode appear then release it. The download will start and at the end the machine will reboot.

WorkCentre 7125 - cannot access admin mode

Hi,

with a WorkCentre 7125 we're having problems updating it's firmware in order to make it compatible with SHA-2. The problem is that I'm not able to enable manual update as as soon as I click on the "Enable" checkbox and then on "Apply" it gives message "Your request was not processed. Unable to enter Administrator Mode. Control panel in use or job in progress".

I've already tried the trick of pressing quickly the Clear All button and then to press on Confirm but it doesn't work. Also rebooting the machine does not help. Also, there are no pending jobs and nobody is touching the panel...

Any suggestions? Is there a way to enable them through MFP's panel?
