Then this was done incorrectly
"I making address reservation for Xerox's MAC but still not getting IP."
Or you have done something with the printer within the IP filtering settings
I tried changing NIC speed but nothing changed. When I'm connecting it directly to my notebook I can access printer. Also when I tried to connect it to a different router without any firewalls etc. Its getting IP address and working without problem. Whats problem with our network. We bought another printers and they connected our network perfectly.
First:
Change the NIC speed on the printer and see if it just can't auto negotiate on its own via the Auto setting.
Machine status > Tools > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Ethernet Physical Media
If that fails:
Take the LAN out of contention by straight connecting a laptop via crossover cable.
Hello,
We bought a WorkCentre 7225i printer for our corporation almost 3 months ago. But we have not been able to connect to the network since the day we bought it. We have a WatchGuard and L3 Gigabit switches on our network. We are already using another printers on LAN from different brands. When I'm trying to connect Xerox to LAN via Ethernet its not getting IP address. We are using Active Directory and DHCP server. I making address reservation for Xerox's MAC but still not getting IP. When I'm trying to give an IP manually its still not working. But when I'm connecting it via Wifi its connecting and getting IP address. But printing over Wifi is very very slow. What can I do for connecting it via Ethernet? When I'm trying to plug to a computer the Ethernet cable I'm using. Computer connecting perfectly. Even other printers connecting perfectly. Our network doesnt have any MAC filter.
