Joe is most likely correct about reloading the software. If the machine boots up after leaving it off for a while then dead cycles again it is probably the cpu fan.
If it has a maintenance contract I highly suggest you have a certified tech fix it.
If not, the following may work, and realistically can't make it worse than it already is.
This is a Forced Altboot which is done with a USB drive.
On the root of the USB should be a folder called "altboot" (Case sensitive)
Then inside that folder should be files named the following (With no extensions, usually created via "notepad" in windows PC)
Power off the printer, plug in USB, Power on printer. Follow the steps on screen, this is absolutely 100% going to wipe every setting ever put on the device so if it works, it will be in out of the box condition.
Doing this is at your own risk, so again, if at all possible, have it done by a certified technician if you are able to.
Hi,
Im working with a workcentre 7775 and it seems to be stuck in a boot cycle. When i turn the machine on, it loads the screen, the energy save button flashses, and it tests the trays. Then after a short while, the screen will turn black and start all over again - load, buttons flash, tests trays. I was wondering if there was any way to get out of this cycle and into the home screen. Thanks
