Re: Xerox 7435 & 7535 WorkCentre Units – Information, Capabilities, & History

The Workcentre 7535 is quite old by technology standards, but it does support TLS 1.2 (see link below). It was replaced by the Workcentre 7835 which was the introduction of ConnectKey technology, then the AltaLink C8035, and now by the current AltaLink C8135. I think that you will find the Workcentre 7535 to be more friendly from an administration viewpoint. Your users aren't likely to care too much either way since your current 7435's are 35ppm color machines like the Workcentre 7535.

I recommend speaking to a Xerox sales person, especially if you plan to carry a service contract on this device. It is a fine machine, but you might be able to save money in the long run by investing in a newer product as service contracts on older products can be more expensive.

Xerox 7435 & 7535 WorkCentre Units – Information, Capabilities, & History

Product Name: WorkCentre 7525/7530/7535/7545/7556
Operating System: Windows 8.1 x64

Hello Xerox Community,

I am wondering if we could get some information and/or recommendations on upgrading our units.  Currently, we have two WorkCentre 7435 units serving the users.  We have the opportunity to upgrade to two 7535 WorkCentre units.  I do not as of yet have any other information on the units (options, features, etc.).

Where do the 7535 units fall with respect to the 7435 units?  Are they much newer and later and more reliable?  What is the history and background?  Do the 7535 units support SSL/TLS protocol?  Will they be much easier and transparent for scanning to email and system management?  Are there any documents or write-ups that explain and discuss this?

Any help, support, guidance, thoughts, or comments would be much appreciated to help make this decision.  Thank you.

johnnyd
