I guess you will need to contact directly the service provider to address your problem. So that they can give you quick solution.
VivFletch,
Did you ever get answer to this question? I am having the same problem and will need to replace the gear myself. I am also curious about your stattement that you manually move the LED cover out of the way prior to closing the lid. Did this at least prove to be a workaround for this problem? And if so, how did you manage that?
Regards,
Bill
Hello Marco
I also have 2 Xerox Phaser 7400, both have the same 2 small broken gears which flip the LED image plate shutters covers out of the way of the imaging units when you close the lid as you descibe below. I have searched the internet but cannot find the part number for this gear so am hoping you can help as it is not listed on the xerox 7400 color parts list. without them you have to manually move these covers out of the way before closing the lid otherwise it doesn't print, you just get a full sheet of a colour.
According to the service parts list this is the part, but the part number is not listed
Parts List 12.1 LED Assembly - Service Parts List (See pages 44 and 45)
28. Gear-LED2
I purchased today a (54914804053803) Xerox Gear kit, which contains 28 gears for the Phaser 7400 but was disappointed to discover these 2 small gears are not in this kit! I gave this number as per your post to the supplier but they said it doesn't exist 807E17570.
It must be a common fault as I have the same 4 gears broken on my two machines, so wondered if you can offer any advice as to the part name and number and where I can get replacements from? I can send you photographs etc if you need them. I thought I found the issue on the forum when I saw this but the part number shown has drawn a blank.
My printers have now been like this for weeks and I dont know where else to try.
Would really appreciate a reply or referral to someone that may be able to help.
Many thanks in advance.
Viv
We found the problem!!! It's on the LED Assembly and it's a gear no. 28, part no. 807E17570. The gear was completely broken and not even noticeable. The function of these gears will rotate the shaft and will open the LED cover. But as you can see on the photo it looks like electrical problem, component problem or high voltage problem.. I attached the actual few photo's of it. Good luck guys!!
Hi to all! Any one knows what's wrong with my Phaser 7400?. Fist problem we found on this printer error 929 failure in the waste toner motor, and it was the Waste Toner Auger assy defective, spiral was twisted and so we replace a new one. After that the printing result was this(photo) and wasting a lot of toner. We installed new engine control boar, IP board, power supply, fuser and full 4 toner. Please help, Thanks in advance!
@Ison Hi, Have you got solution or answer from this problem? I have exactly the same problem. Please help. Thanks in advance!
Did you find a fix for this? Have similar trouble. I have a Xerox Phaser 7400 and when I print anything in color this is what it does (attached) and when I print in B&W it prints nothing. All CRU's are within early lifespan. It has happened before and corrected itself, but not this time, yet...
Hello chuckreich,
Here is a link to the Phaser 7400 Knowledge Base which has articles that explain how to fix this issue. When the KB opens in a new browser window, simply type "blank prints" (without the quotes) in the search field and click search. You should see two solutions to try. Start with the first one that shows how to reseat the fuser. The fuser sometimes doesn't get seated fully and will cause blank prints. So, try reseating it and if that doesn't help, then try the second solution. Post back to the forum and let us know what happens.

All consumables are good. Appears to be a hardware issue. What would be the most like part to replace - Engine Control Board, HVPS, or LVPS?
