Xerox WC 5755 offsetting unavailable

Facing error as "offsetting is unavailable please check for obstruction in output tray" but there is no obstructions in the machine at all. after this message is displayed the machine wont take any print command or copy the page. Although scanning is available in the machine and it will scan the documents. Please let me know about the possible causes. after we restart the machine it is available again.

the fault code appearing is 12-530-00. Please update me the solution for the same.

Hello there,

 

thanks for the prompt response. Please note that once we restart the machine it shows as ready on all the pc on network and will print all the pending jobs. After say 5 mins it goes offline in all the pc's and printing is not available. 

 

while the printer shows offline in the pc copying and scanning features are available. If we ping the ip address from any pc it gives reply and even CWIS is accessible via browser. 

 

please advise.

Hi,

Please check the port dettings and make sure you have LPR selected.  See these steps:

Configure the Port Settings
  1. Open the Printers or Printers and Faxes window. See the Related Content for additional information.
  2. Right-click on the printer and select [Properties]. The Properties window will be displayed.
  3. Click on the [Ports] tab.
  4. Click the [Configure Port] button. The Port Settings window will be displayed.
  5. Select [LPR] radio button from the Protocol section.
  6. In the LPR Settings section, type: lp (must be lower case) in the Queue Name field.
  7. Make sure that the [LPR Byte Counting Enabled] and [SNMP Status Enabled] options are not selected.
  8. Click [OK] to save the new port settings.
  9. Close the window.

If it continues to happen then perform a software reset.

Perform a Software Reset at the Printer

  1. Login as the System Administrator or Key Operator.
  2. Press the [Machine Status] button on the Control Panel. The Machine Status screen will be displayed.
  3. Select the [Tools] tab on the Touch Screen.
  4. Select the [Trouble Shooting] button. A list of options will be displayed.
  5. Select the [Software Reset] option.
  6. Select the [Reset Both] button. A Confirmation Required screen will be displayed.
  7. Select the [Confirm] button. The lights will blink and the printer will begin its reboot procedure; this should take less than five minutes to complete.
  8. Logout of the printer.
