I'm having same issue with this machine model. Once I replace the HDD the machine has no Operating System to allow me to install firmware via usb. Any suggestions for what to do once replacing the HDD. This is a 4265 that is stuck in boot loop.
Hi Gabiene,
Thank you for your response and suggestions. I saw another thread you responsed to with similar issue.
With the new HDD installed, I can follow these steps to install the firmware via USB.
Hi,
Yes, do you need a 2,5" SATA HDD, put into the machine and see what is happening. The AltBoot method for software upgrade it is not for this type of machine.

Our Xerox WorkCentre 4265 is stuck on startup screen. It keeps restarting. I read from here https://forum.support.xerox.com/t5/Hardware/Xerox-WorkCentre-4265-Machine-wont-get-past-the-boot-scr...
Based on that thread, chances are I will need replace the Hard drive HDD.
I was not able to find any information on what kind of hard drive is needed.

Do I need a 2.5'' SATA HDD min. 250 GB? I also read I will need to use AltBoot-ing to reinstall the firm-ware onto the new hard drive. Is there any suggestions on how to do this?
