Re: images on copies not acceptable on Workcentre 5775; good on 5335

lamaroon,

Have you placed a simple service call to the 1-800-821-2797 customer service center? I think having a technician come onsite to give your machine a good cleaning may do the trick.

Thank you,
Jordan

Re: images on copies not acceptable on Workcentre 5775; good on 5335

Hi lamaroon,

Thank you for using the Support Forum. Please take a look at the support pages for the WorkCentre 5775 and see if you can find a solution to the issue your are seeing.  I would suggest starting with the solutions for Dark Background on Copies, I think from your brief description that this may be what you are seeing.  If these solutions do not help please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

Thanks,

images on copies not acceptable on Workcentre 5775; good on 5335

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

We have two xerox copiers. Printing images or photos to either one produces an acceptable result. However if you try to make a copy of a paper with images, the results are dramatically different. The 5335 copy is acceptable and the image can be seen; the 5775 is horrible and produces dark and grainy images when it copies the same paper.

Is this to be expected with the 5775?

The service person said something about the 5775 being a faster copier and that this had something to do with the 2nd generation of the file being so much worse on the 5775 then on the 5335

Do we have any options or do you have any suggestions on another type of copier. We are an elementary school and teachers have plenty of binders full of paper copies/worksheets that they want to reproduce for their students.

thanks for your help
