Re: phaser 5500- reset centreware password

Thank god for this topic, and for Fabio's response! Somehow our printer switched from English to a foreign language (I eventually figured out it was Swedish), and after finally getting to the settings for language (with the help of online translation tools), it turns out the settings were locked. I also tried the default for CWIS with no luck. But option 2 to bypass and reset the NVRAM worked, and all appears to be well again with our printer (knock on wood). So thank you, thank you, thank you! :)

Re: phaser 5500- reset centreware password

here you go :

1). Attempt to unlock using the default password for CWIS (user - admin, password - 1111)

2). Bypass the front panel lock-out

a. At power-on, press and hold the back and OK buttons simultaneously

b. Within 2 seconds of when "Password" appears, press and hold the UP and DOWN arrows simultaneously.

3). Reset NVRAM. If prompted for a password to access the reset function, enter 4370.
