Hi Marcos,
Please take a look at the power requirements for the machine on page 13 of the specifications document. Also take a look at the information in the solution for Adequate Power. You might also consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
The printer I am requesting information for is the Color Qube 8570. The issue is that you must plug this printer into a wall socket and cannot plug it into a battery backup or power strip to protect it. So if it is plugged into the battery backup or power strip accidentally then the error 91.720.00:20000 comes up and the printer is dead.
This has happend now for the second time. We moved it to a different location and the person moving it, thinking he was doing a good thing plugged the printer into the surge side of the battery backup, which immediately cooked the printer and popped that code. So I believe I am in the correct forum for the issue I am having.
Thx Marco
Hi Marcos48,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. I am not sure what you are talking about this thread is for an error code are you receiving the same code? If so please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance. As for the power information please see the specifications for the machine you are using. You do not mention what machine you have so I cannot direct you to that information. As for what the technician said please contact the technician again for an explanation.
Hello Cheryl,
I was a copier tech for 10+ years and have never seen a printer that you could not plug into a battery backup or power strip. It needs to be plugged directly into the wall because the fuser draws power and it surges and then it blows up if it's plugged into a protection device?
Why would Xerox create something you could not plug into protection from spikes and brown outs or lightening? We had this fixed once several months back and the tech said they would not fix it again? I ask why this is? the printer is under warranty so shouldnt this be covered? Please let me know what can be done about this, or should we drop it in the garbage and go with a different manufacturer's color printer?
Thank You
