My 6015NI often goes into low-power sleep mode and then wakes up normally when I submit a print job or press a button on the printer itself.
However, sometimes the printer cannot be brought out of sleep mode. When I try to print to it, the driver reports that it cannot contact the printer. If I physically press buttons on the printer, nothing happens - the printer does not exit sleep mode. When it gets into this state, the only way to wake it up is to power it off and then on again.
When I initially reported this problem last month, support asked me to plug the printer into an AC outlet that was not connected to any surge suppressor, UPS, or other filter. I did this but it has not seemed to solve the problem.
Has anyone else seen this problem? Do I have faulty hardware?
