How do I know if the MCU board is defective? I was able to get on chat with a technician who thought the problem might be that I had the printer plugged into a power strip, so I followed his suggestion and plugged the printer directly into the wall, but the problem persits. I need a resolution.
The simple way is to replace the MCU to verify it. The part no.. is 960K87210.
My workcenter 6515 has two timers as sleep-options. And a third configuration point, that is effective when the two timers are fullfilled. The choice is either go to sleep or go to power-off.
Perhaps your printer goes to OFF, because of this configuration. You will reach it on the printer web site under "System" when you have logged in as "admin".
