Re: 6510DN wake up from sleep

Hi, thanks for the reply, do you have UK warranty/service centres? Why would a brand new printer need a service already, also this appears to be a fundamental issue with the software which puts the machine to sleep and doesn't allow any button press to wake it up so would expect a software fix to be honest.

Re: 6510DN wake up from sleep

My workcenter 6515 has two timers as sleep-options. And a third configuration point, that is effective when the two timers are fullfilled. The choice is either go to sleep or go to power-off.

Perhaps your printer goes to OFF, because of this configuration. You will reach it on the printer web site under "System" when you have logged in as "admin".

Re: 6510DN wake up from sleep

The simple way is to replace the MCU to verify it. The part no.. is 960K87210.

Re: 6510DN wake up from sleep

How do I know if the MCU board is defective?  I was able to get on chat with a technician who thought the problem might be that I had the printer plugged into a power strip, so I followed his suggestion and plugged the printer directly into the wall, but the problem persits.   I need a resolution.

Re: 6510DN wake up from sleep

Just updated my Firmware (version 64.42.1) and my printer still won't wake from "deep sleep".  I have to unplug it  and plug it back in to get it to work again.  Anyone have a solution to this?  I even went into the settings and set the sleel time out to as long as it would allow.

Please help.  Love the printer, but this may be a deal breaker!
