Sorry this took so long, but I found a suggestion. I have never seen the printer or anything like it, I had to source the information from someone in France (I'm Canadian)

You have to go under Parameter Initialization Menu

And init the pump counter.

Turn it ON again

and check if the

appears.

If message appears:

Nous avons an unusual

code E-162 on Xerox /Mitoh/ 7142 plotter.

The code appears after the replacement of the plotters pump.

This code is not described in our services manual ; perhaps due to the fact that the later dates back to 2007.
