Re: 7328 workcentre needs recognized and networked

If it going to use the PC anyways, why not use the USB port and share the printer that way? Assuming the 7328 has one. I am guessing you guys are talking about using a route command from the PC to the Printer? What about a cheap 4-port wireless router setup in bridging mode? IDK, maybe more complicated than what was already suggested. Good luck.

Re: 7328 workcentre needs recognized and networked

Keep in mind, you'll need to use a CrossOver cable for this, and you'll have to setup a seperate "Static" or "Manual" address for both your PC and the Xerox ( Ideally, you'll want something NOT 192.168.x.x)

This isn't a simple setup, I'd almost recommend talking to one of the second level Network Analysts on the phone at Xerox

7328 workcentre needs recognized and networked

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

Hi, I need a little help I've attached the workcentre 7328 to a desktop by way of Ethernet cable to be able to print from another room as well as the rest of the network share its usage as well. My problem is as follows; the IP address of the printer is 192.xxx.x.x and I don't have a clue to set the information in can someone give me the steps in plain Lang. To get it up and going

The reason it is not attached to the wireless router is that the cable could not be taken thru a brick wall so had no choice but work backwards from the desktop computer it be shred from this desktop via the wireless network to the rest hopefully this will work since the other machines work without assigning IP addresses to anything else
