Thanks! I will try that right now. I did not see that there was a new October Firmware as well so that's good news!
I will let you know if this works.
Since you know how to get in to set NVM settings, if you also know how to do a Forced Altboot, I would highly suggest doing so with the latest firmware located here.
Greetings all!
We have 2 7545's and 1 7535. One of the 7545's (5 tray bypass with Xerox Professional Finisher) is an off lease with 200k impressions on it and it's super clean. However there is one perplexing issue I am running into, which is that it thinks it has a offsetting catch tray instead of a professional finisher. The mystery even gets deeper....
The onboard configuration report reads for hardware (it says it has an advanced finisher):
Fax Card: | Not Present |
Extended Fax Card: | Not Present |
Fax Card Memory Size: | 0MB |
Foreign Interface Card: | Not Present |
Net Controller RAM: | 2048MB |
Net Controller Disk Size: | used=4231MB/total=160041MB |
Finisher Type: | Xerox Advanced Finisher |
Finisher Punch: | None |
Finisher Folder | Not Present |
However, when going to the IP address of the machine and pulling up that configuration report it reads the following (now it says it has an ofsetting catch tray):
Fax Card: | Not Present |
Extended Fax Card: | Not Present |
Fax Card Memory Size: | 0MB |
Foreign Interface Card: | Not Present |
Net Controller RAM: | 2048MB |
Net Controller Disk Size: | used=4231MB/total=160041MB |
Finisher Type: | Offsetting Catch Tray |
Finisher Punch: | Not Present |
Finisher Folder | Not Present |
So when you pull up the driver to attempt to use the finisher, it is default and locked as an ofsetting catch tray. When I use the WSD port that allows me to override the drivers settings and set it to use a professional finisher etc etc, I attempt to print a booklet, and the printer prints an error that reads "The job was deleted because the client requested a printing function that is not available on the system".
I am pretty stumped at this point, I assume that someone messed around with the NVM chains, however I did a full initialize, then I even wrote NVM 616-014 to 2 and reset the whole machine, still the same settings after getting the machine set back up.
Any help would be much appreciated!
