Correct
So you're saying that the 'kit' is electronic and that there is no hardware change to the paper path? In other words, ALL of the ColorQube printers begin life as duplex off the production line, and it's only a SIM card that make them so? There's no need to remove the housing of the printer and install rods, gears or other assemblies?
The Kit is simply a SIM card you put in the machine, so the instructions are there on Xerox.com under the printers documentation. But it is generically named (because it applies to any upgrade to the device)
It really should be mentioned in the Online Support Assistant, but isn't, I will send a request to have it added.
Instruction pdf here, linked as "Configuration Card" when you go to the printers documentation page
I would also like to upgeade my 8570n to the DN and would like to see some instructions BEFORE I purchase the kit.
If it is not to much "trouble" I would like a link or a pdf sent to me.
If that's to much to ask that Xerox try to support their customers with their products then I guess my next printer won't be a Xerox.
Hi Hammerhead,
Thank you for using the Support Forum. The installation instructions should come with the kit itself. Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.
I have a friend who has a CQ 8580N and wants to upgrade to Duplex. I found the below Xerox kit, but I can't seem to find installation instructions to determine if it's something we want to try ourselves, or he would be better off just buying another printer.
Can someone link to the installation instructions for this kit?

Thanks in advance!
