hi,
Try to deactivate the driver bi-directionality. Go to properties, configuration, set connection to off.
Hope this helps

Have the 8860MFP Drivers loaded on a newer windows server and porting drivers to pc's from server drive, and even though the print function is there the bottom of screen notification popup always says "printer status not availabl".FYI Using the latest Postscript driver version on windows 7 and 8 pc's not the PCL version.Help . Any thoughts.
Wow, that's hit the nail on the head. Not even your official support guys have come back to me yet! :)
Many thanks! Knew it would have to be something simple ;)
Hope someone can help.
We have 2 x 8860MFP devices that have been working without fail, serving multiple devices from a 2008R2 print server on a flat network.
Over the last fortnight we've moved over to a subnetted & VLAN'd network, and both of these printers have stopped behaving. No amount of restarting appears to help. They ping fully, you can access the configuration pages from the servers and clients (both on different VLANS not that that should matter).
Yet both printers show OFFLINE constantly.
They work when set up on a PC via direct IP rather than going through the print server. Clients are windows 7 x64.
We have multiple 8860 non MFP devices which work perfectly well, and the configuration is identical between them.
One MFP is on slightly older firmware, the other is on the latest and both behave identically.
Anyone have experience of this and any recommendations please?
