We figured out the issue. After the upgrade, something was causing the printer to lock up via the network connection. Removed the printer from the print server (Server 2008 R2) disconnected the network cable, rebooted again, and this time let it boot up without the network cord plugged in. It took a long time to come up, but finally the printer started, we shut it back down, plugged everything back in again, and turned it back on. Not sure what caused it to lock up like that, but that seemed to fix the issue.
After updating to the newest firmware 4.2.8 on the Xerox website, our 8860MFP just continuously restarts itself. It runs through the self tests, shows Tests complete, the Xerox logo shows up on the display, you can hear the printer going through it's warmup, then after about 1-2 minutes, it restarts and begins testing again. I've tried turning it off, unplugging from power, network, reseated all of the serial connections to the document scanner, etc and it still continues to do the same thing. Is there somethign I'm missing here?
