Figured out how to do this - went into manufacturing mode (described in the service manual) and performed an NVram reset.
This reset the page count too, but it was cheaper than paying Xerox to do this :).
I have a Xerox 8870 Colorqube that one of my IT co-workers locked down, but he cannot remember the password. He set the password to lock the control panel menu as well which means I cannot even use the reset nvram feature on the device.
Xerox wants like 300-400 dollars to fix this, and I was wondering if there was another solution? I'm pretty technically savvy :).
