Hi,
Try the machine serial number as admin password. After that you can change it to 1111 or what ever you want.

I had an error code 5 and a fairly non-responsive printer, due to a corrupt SD card. I replaced the card with one from a similar printer, and it seemed okay, as a temporary solution. I then got a whole board as a working pull from another 7970, so I imaged the SD card with the most recent image and started up the printer. I then received a SIM error, so I switched the SIM from the replacement board with my original SIM. It then booted, and I upgrade the firmware from 72.200 to 75.200 via the web page/IP address connection.
After that, the printer rebooted, then gave me a message about encrypting the hard drive, and then rebooted again. I then tried to connect via IP address/web page to put my cloning file on it (I had made a clone image before swapping parts), and to do so, I needed to log in as admin. The credentials no longer work, and the error is: Invalid data entered. Please try again. So I tried from the front panel on the printer itself, and the credentials don't work there, either.
I am stumped. Happy to provide serial number and page count, if that helps anything? Or can I get files and instructions to altboot somewhere and try that? This printer is in my house, and there's not a chance that anyone changed the password between when I upgraded the software and tried to log in again, nor at any other time.
Thanks for any help!
