After replacing maintenance kit on ColotQube 8570 printed pages look terrible.

Product Name: Other - specify product in post

I just received a new maintenance kit for my ColorQube 8570.  The printer had refused to run until I did!  Before the maintenance kit issue, the printer was working perfectly.  Each printed page was precise, the colors were as true as ever, and there was absolutely no bleed-over.  Now, with the maintenance kit installed, the printer booted and the initial cleaning completed, the pages look awful.  There is a tremendous amount of print duplication from the previous page (what was printed on one page is reprinted lightly on the next page.)  The top 1/4-inch of the page looks like it has been laid down on something oily (it is somewhat translucent), and the crisp text I am used to is smeared or not printed wholly.  What do I do?  This is really a new problem for me, and I've owned my print for over 5 years.  Yes, it's the first time I've had to replace the maintenance kit.
