I have never had this screen on any printer, but I don't really support VersaLink products, and I don't have easy access to Secure Access/Equitrac etc so I haven't had the chance, or ability, to try and replicate the scenario.
But I have much faith in another user on this forum (Fabio), who does support these machines, and he stated it as a known issue over in this thread.
I had offered to try and test it there via that persons Clone file, but I did not have the model they did and could not safely use the clone he provided.
So try responding over there to Fabio and see if he has anything further. (I know he is on Vacation until Jan 8 2018)
Looking for a point in the right direction and have a couple of queries on the same theme.
Firstly, it is a concern for us that completed job names can be accessed in ‘Jobs’ so we have masked the job name to *** on the Altalinks. However, the Versalink job names remain even though appear masked in the web interface. Don’t want to hide ‘Jobs’ as it has its uses. Any thoughts? That seems to be a bug, it would require a SPAR (call Xerox and report it)
Next up...
Deployed an image and logo on Altalinks but Versalink doesn’t have this feature despite same connectkey platform. Plans to change? AltaLink came from Connectkey, VersaLink did not, they are completely seperate platforms created by independant teams. You can tell just by comparing Connectkey to AltaLink internal web pages and control panel workflows, they are near identical, yet VersaLink shares nothing
Finally... when A4 Versalink range is locked down with secure access the default screen is scan badge. We are deploying PIN access with no cards or readers. Can screen be changed to ‘enter pin’? Doesn’t make sense to say scan badge when no badge or reader. This is a known issue according to Fabio, not sure if anything further has happened
