Any tip to stop ink from flaking when cut?

Product Name: ColorQube 8570
Operating System: macOS 10.13 - High Sierra

Hi all, I'm looking for a little help? I'm printing onto gloss media with no problems. However I need to cut the images out and the wax is cracking and flaking off when I do this?

 

Does anyone have any thoughts or tips on how I could avoid this issue?
