Probably not DOA, but Xerox keep selling this item as Mac compatible which it clealry is not. I shipped it back to the dealer and bought something from a professional company instead.
Looks like you already have the correct drivers, but they will make naff all difference.
Get rid.
MadMike.
Similar for me.
I am using Mac Catalina and downloaded the drivers from here: https://www.support.xerox.com/support/xerox-b210-printer/downloads/enus.html?operatingSystem=macOS10...
(Version dated June 4, 2020, Description: "This .dmg contains the following versions; B215 Scan Driver V2.00.91, B205 Scan Driver V2.00.91, B210 – DOES NOT SUPPORT Scan. B215 Print Driver V3.05.00, B205 Print Driver V3.05.00, B210 Print Driver V3.05.00. ")
Printer seems to work ok via USB, but I have *not* been able to:
I have also failed to connect to the router using WPS buttons.
At least I can print - but my old brother HL-1250 did that as well. Beginning to regret changing.
Given that WPS and the CentreWare seem not to work, do you think that the printer is DOA? Also can you tell me where I can download the Mac versions of the software
TIA,
Mike
FRUSTRATED
my new B210 printer, i was so proud of, DOES NOT CONNECT TO THE NETWORK, disk is for windows, i love mac, everything we have is mac, impossible to install drivers or get it connected.... saturday sunday xerox support is closed? absurd... unvelievable
cperdomo.
After installing the mac drivers you do not say what to do next. Help.
Mike
Hi Cheryl,
The online customer reports (when I use a different word to report Xerox has bleeped it out haha) of this printer are awful, why are you still selling it? All you have to do is a search for the printer and you can see the thousands of customers with complaints. Yesterday I was told by a Xerox rep I had to download an App to my Apple phone to use the Wifi printing. Of course I got cut off on the call (3rd time) and when I called back the next Xerox rep told me what I was told before was nonsense, there's no App needed. Your instructions for something so utterly basic are almost beyond belief. I'm not trying to land a rocket on the moon, I'm trying to connect a printer to a computer and phone. I have managed to connect my bluetooth speaker, smart TV, Ipad, Mac computer, Iphone X to my home wifi. Do you see where the problem is?
Hi Oldbray,
I apologize I thought you had returned the machine as you stated you were doing back on you original reply on this thread. There was no reason to answer you since you would no longer have the printer. As the forum manager I cannot train on every product we support. I can only lead you to information I am aware of. Have you followed the instructions in the workaround provided in an earlier post on this same subject? I have attached the document to this reply. If the workaround does not work for you, please provide any error message you receive and we will continue to try to help. Stating that it is not working does not help anyone troubleshoot the issue.
CherylO if a customer has taken the time to come on this pathetic platform (as ineffective as your chat and phone system and no doubt products) to get answers why refer them to a guide that they have already read. Their concern is specific so here's an idea - address the specific concern just like all the other people on your forums who don't get answers. Your product is a MASSIVE fail
Just received B210, what a joke, setup, installation (MAC), then so called customer support (chat online failed, hung up on, got through 25 mins on hold then call ended). Pathetic first impression. Someone please tell me when a company invents a printer, you connect it to your phone / computer bluetooth like a speaker and then you PRINT. All this other nonsense is for them to collect their consulting fees for technical assistance which you never receive in any case. Instructions designed for NASA scientists?? Horrid product, worse instructions followed by non-existent customer support. time to return printer and go to another company that wants my money!!
Does not work for Catalina 10.15. Event though formally tere are drivers for 10.15. Driver installs and nothing happens. No configuration. No easy Printing Manager, no utility to configure network. Mad a xerox.
