Looks like the same problem. The screen stops working after 10-15 secs after startup. I am able to so some first clicks then it stops responding. At same moment it prints and scans from pc fine. But if need to click to any dialogue on the screen (paper size confirmation/etc) it doesn't react. That makes the unusable device
It seems you have exactly the same problem as I do. Similarly, calibration works for me without freezing as well. Weirdly, after restart following calibration of the touchpad, it seems to freeze some 10s later than "usual".
I have not tried tinkering with updates yet or contacting the support in my country as I actually need the printer and scanner available now for my work, so I still did not resolve this issue. However, I feel a bit better knowing that the problem is not only with my printer.
Hi,
I've got exactly the same issue (i feel less alone)
The printer works fine, i can print or scan from a computer, but the touch panel is unresponsive.
The touch panel is not HS because calibration works (power on with power+home button down), but it stop working few seconds after the printer startup.
I've try a factory reset, without any result.
I don't know what to do, by another ?????
operating system : windows 10 & 11
firmware : 88.0.0.0.64.0.0.0
Hello Witold,
I see no one has responded to this post yet. So, at this point I would recommend contacting your local Xerox Support Department to speak with a Product Specialist for more assistance. Please call 1-800-821-2797 or 1-800-835-6100.
About two months ago I bought a new Xerox B215 Multifunction printer. Everything worked fine till yesterday.
Without any obvious reason, now, after turning on the printer, the touch panel quickly becomes frozen. The display seems to work ok (it shows the menu). The touchpad reacts for a moment (few seconds) after printer start up, but then in freezes and do not react to touch at all or do it after a long while (like few minutes). Power button next to the touchpad also seems to react only after a long while or not at all. The printer also does not seem to go into power saver mode after a prescribed time.
Other than that, the printer works fine when printing from the laptop connected by USB, and the settings can be accessed through the web browser (CWIS) over WiFi, so everything else other than the control panel seems to be ok.
I have tried disconnecting the power cable and connecting it again after a while. It does not help; the issue is still there.
What can be the cause and how it might be resolved? For now, it seems more of UI issue, not the hardware. However, I am reluctunt to try resetting the printer to default settings (via CWIS) as then I might lose the access to the printer setting completly. Similarly, I have not tried upgrading the firmware (I am using the orginal, UI v7.55.05.02); if there is some follow up on the panel during the process, it might completly cut me off from using the printer.
Any advices?
