On a Phaser/ColorQube DN printer with multiple trays (plus the flip-down sheet feeder), is there a "best" paper tray to use? I print some documents on plain paper, and some on pre-punched paper, and I've always left the plain paper in the lower (external) tray on my 8550. I am now trying to figure out if I should do the same on my 8750, or if I should switch them up.
In other words, does printing from the external tray create more or less wear & tear on the printer itself? Is there any difference in speed of the feeding between the various trays? Is it better to put more wear on the external feeder, so that it can be more easily replaced should it break? Any other factors to consider?
