I found this solution in the Knowledgebase that may help you. If this doesn't work, I would recommend scheduling a service call.
I have a phaser 8560MFP that has been sitting for a couple years (in good conditons) that I am trying to now make use of. When I power it up, it goes through the self-tests but then stalls at the next step with indicates that it is "initializing..." I have left it on overnight,but it is still stuck at "inittializing..." I can't seem to get into any of the diagnostics using the buttons .
Any recommendations on what I might be able to try?
