The friendly Xerox field technician paid a visit to my printer and replaced the print head. After 45 minutes of work and 30 minutesd warm-up and cleaning time the printer now works.
Thanks Trish for your reponse. I was not able to find a solution to the problem. I am expecting a Xerox technician to come in today and hopefully fix the printer. For the record, the error happens at the end of the start-up sequence even when the printer is not connected to any computer or network (only cable connected is for power). It seems unlikely that this is related to the mac problem which I looked at as well and installed the latest driver.
Not a very active forum, huh?
Thanks Fabio - I installed the latest driver from the support website (2.32.0-611)
have you applied the 10.6.8 patch , thats is common bug in the latests mac update...
look in other topics, you need to apply some kind of hotfix
(if that is the case offcourse)

Hello,
I just bought a brand-spankin-new 8570DN. Brought it home and tried to make it work. Sadly, it keeps showing me error 91,610,00:00 and refuses to do anything.
I am using a mac 10.6.8 to print, error occurs with both ethernet and USB connections. This is my first Zerox product ever, and needless to say, I am not impressed at all.
