Did you mean blinking? As in the NIC is blinking showing data transfer?
It should be blinking, you might be able to stop it by shutting off SNMP altogether, disabling TWAIN from any PC that may be using it (It polls the printer) but it will still blink when the print driver initiates the bidirectional to query for tray and toner status.
