After getting my C8045 to accept latest firmware, machine continues to spit out failed upgrade report on the hour, every hour!

Module: 140/14

Status:   FTP "get" Failure

The recovery patch seems to have done the trick.  Handful of devices have already accepted the DLM after patching.

Thank you so much.

I read the instructions but not the appendix so thank you for pointing that out.  Will try the recovery patch and reply with the results.

Thank you Joe!

C8035 Firmware Upgrade Failed - Invalid DLM

Jump to solution
Product Name: AltaLink C8030 / C8035 / C8045 / C8055 / C8070 Color Multifunction Printer

I am currently in the process of installing the Nov 2nd 101 level firmware on roughly 800 C8035 devices.  It works fine in most cases however I have come across a handful of machines so far (10-20) that say the DLM is invalid and will not update the device.

I am using XDM to do this process.  I use the same method for each batch of machines and every once in a while a machine will pop up with this failure.  When I find one that does this I connect directly to the device and do a manual upgrade and get the same results.

This firmware requires a separate DLM to be installed first which updates the network controller.  This install has not produced any issues at all.  100% have of machines accepted this DLM.  The firmware upgrade for the device is the one with the snag.  I have compromised on these devices for now by installing the Sep 2nd upgrade.  However the company these are for would prefer we kept the most up to date firmware as much as possible.

Any insight on this one?  Thanks
