Re: Cabling diagram

I think the screen doesn't light up because of USB AA cable.

And no, you cannot have acces to PWS program, just Xerox engineers.

Re: Cabling diagram

Could you please tell me why the screen doesn't light up after transporting it? And how the cables go? I am a tech savvy person I could possibly replace the yellow CMOS battery on the board where is it and how would I get access to the pws program? From a browser? Right now it doesn't even have a display just blinks.

Thanks again,
Robert

Re: Cabling diagram

Hi,

"communications problem encountered" it is a error from a drained battery (one yellow battery, but not an ordinary one, it is a time keeper battery) inside the controller.

Anyway even if you will replace the battery, you will need a tech with a laptop with PWS to reconfigure the printer.

Cabling diagram

Product Name: Other - specify product in post
Operating System: Windows 7 x64
I was gifted a used xerox workcentre pro 32 color (yes I know it's really really old and discontinued) it has an error "communications problem encountered" which I thought I might be able to fix I think the USB cable from the scanner unit to the copier was unplugged or bad? But something happened during transport it went bad or I plugged some cables in wrong because it would just flash 2 green lights on the scanner unit but never light up the screen I heard the computer part beep like how a desktop PC posts so you know it's working. Any ideas on what happened or where the cables go would be greatly appreciated the there an seem to be several 3 pronged plugs and they all look alike. One way it turns on immediately after plugging it in and flashes. The other way it turns on for a split second if you use the power button then off if you let go of the power button.

Thanks,
Robert
