Can not enter into service mode/printer diagnostics

Product Name: Phaser 6500
Operating System: Windows 10 x64

In the past, I was able to enter my phaser 6500 into "service mode" by pressing the up and down keys when powering the machine on.  Now, nothing happens and the machine just starts as usual.  The up and down key switches are working because I am able to use them for other functions.  Any suggestions?  If I need to uninstall the firmware and reinstall it can you point me to where there are instructions for that as I can only find instructions for how to update firmware.  Thank You

Have you tried the centreware internet service (CWIS) it gives you access to printer status, configuration and security settings, diagnostic functions, and more. Please consider contacting your support centre for further assistance.

I resolved this problem finally by setting the printer back to all of its default settings.  After which, I was able to enter into service mode by pressing the up and down arrows while powering on the printer......virtual dust, I guess (:
