Re: Centering print content

I got it to print on center now, thank you!

For those who want to know exactly what I did: I held 0 for ten seconds, then hit start. It prompted for a passcode and I entered "6789." From there I hit a menu item titled "Registration." This brought me to a screen with a bunch of checkboxes. The one on the left was labeled "IOT registration." I checked this. From here, I selected that I wanted to adjust all trays and asked it to print a test pattern. From here I just followed the onscreen instructions. While the instructions did work, I found I had to play with the numbers a bit to get it to be closer to center.

Re: Centering print content

I think the procedure is the same like for 57xx.

Re: Centering print content

Thank you! I'll need to buy some paper to do this, though (since it requires something like 11x17 paper). However, I'm basing what I know off of the procedure for the 5755 rather than the 5855 since I was only able to find a copy of the 5755 manual. Do you know where I could find/order the 5855 manual?

Re: Centering print content

Hi,

By initializing NVM, you had cleared also machine registration settings. If you still know how to enter in Diagnostic Mode, perform DC 604 (Registration Setup Procedure).

Centering print content

Product Name: WorkCentre 5845/5855
Operating System: Not Applicable

I recently acquired a Xerox Workcentre 5855 used that had been thrown out with an unknown admin password, so I tried factory resetting the device. I reset the device by holding the 0 key for 10 seconds, then pressing the start button. When prompted with a password, I entered 6789. From there, I reset the NVM. This gave me access to the system and I was able to create an admin account. I should note that before I reset the device I tested it by printing a service report.
After resetting, everything that was printed was off center, sometimes cutting off content. The direction of the shift depends on the direction of the paper feed. If the paper is fed in the long way, the top or bottom is cut off. If it’s fed in the short way, the left or right is cut off. For example, when printing from tray 1, the right side is cut off, and the left margin is too wide. This seems like an issue of timing when the printer starts depositing toner, so my best guess is that the factory reset cleared some calibration settings. I checked the same internal menu that I used to clear the NVM, and I can only find calibration settings for the scanner. How could I go about fixing this?
I should note that this is NOT a print driver or scanner issue. I see this when printing configuration reports from the printer's internal menu.
