Re: Chip on toner not recognized by printer

Hello major91,

There are three chips. The chip identifies the machines contract type.  You need to make sure that the new part number on the toner is the same as the old part number.  The only way to have the chip changed from one type to another is to call into the service department @ 1-800-821-2797.

 #1 - " SOLD/ Regular " - You own this machine. No Contract. No DMO/Dmoso.

#2 - " Metered " - Cost per Copy, Renting Machine, Contract with Xerox

#3 - " DMO, Dmoso " - includes the marketing, sales and servicing of Xerox products, supplies, and services in (Latin America, Mexico, Brazil) the Middle East, India, Eurasia and Central- Eastern Europe (Russia area) and Africa.

Chip on toner not recognized by printer

Product Name: WorkCentre 5225/5230
Operating System: Windows 10

Folk i am hoping for some insight if possible.  At my company we have a Xerox 5225 which ran out of toner a few months back.  I have ordered Xerox brand toner and the chip used on the toner is not being recognized.  Anyone know the fix for this?
