Color Qube 9301 prints slow, very slow...

We have Xerox Color Qube 9301 (to replace our Xerox WC 7328, both color).

 

I've downloaded last version of the drivers and installed it on my domain controller (Win 2008R2 SP1), then used domain policy to install that drivers to workstaions. We have Windows 7 SP1 Ru x64 with MS Office 2010 SP1 Ru x64 installed on workstations and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 Ru x64 installed on domain controller (with last updates).

 

Aftere some time users cheched a problem with printing speed. Printing a simple text page tooks about 30-40 seconds (after warming-up the printer), and printing a page with 2-3 pictures tooks up to 1 minute (per page).

 

I tried to resolve the problem changing printer settings and drivers, but result always was the same - very slow printing of pages with pictures. When printing the same document from same computer to Xerox WC 7328, it prints fast. Faster than on ColorQube.

 

When workstation works withoud domain and print server (low printing quality, using the same drivers, but connected directly), it prints faster than workstation included to domain.

 

Drivers i tried on my DC and workstations:

- Xerox ColorQube 9301 PS 5203.800.0.0
- Xerox ColorQube 9301 PCL6 5203.800.0.0
- Xerox GPD PS 5273.2301.0.0
- Xerox Global Print Driver PCL6 5246.700.0.0 

 

I've tried change Print Tasks Handler:
- winprint / RAW
- XeroxV5Print / RAW

 

This is ColorQube firmware versions:
- SYSTEM FIRMWARE: 061.180.221.14702
- NETWORK VERSION: 061.181.14620
- GUI VERSION: 061.181.14320
- COPY CONTROLLER OS: 061.181.01910
- NETWORK CONTROLLER OS: 061.181.01910

I would suggest calling into support to obtain the latest firmware for this machine. Also, I would recommend the PS driver and make sure you select LPR - also disable SNMP. I would start with upgrading the firmware as bugs have been known for slow printing.

Xerox hot line support said i need contact service engineers (they are premiun and service partners but do nothing with out problem, just said "the reason in you domain, double check everything, bye"). Very "pleasund" service...

WIll switching off SNMP affect on-screen notifications?

Now notification messages appears when print job starts and ends.

I'm sorry about that response from Xerox. We will see if someone directly with Xerox can address that issue for us. SNMP should not effect the on-screen notifications but if you want them turned off we can do that. Do you want them enabled or disabled?

Now we use LPR and SNMP off. On-screen notifications works fine.

 

But i'm not sure about some settings:

1. which print handler i need to use: WinPrint-RAW or XeroxV5Print-RAW?

2. what is better to process print jobs on client computer or on server?

3. what about some driver settings like "resend postscript", "halftones", "spot color", "ICMP method" etc.

HI john.. i have a big problem... my color qbe 9302 dont boot... is stuck in the first screen and show me XEROX logo a ENERGYSTAR with a letter that said: "please wait system warn..." i have big trouble... in Leticia, amazona,... dont have a technical support for this.. so i try to fix this with help of friend with can help me.. So please help me....!!!! please!!!
